Small batch and dyed to order yarn, with inspiration derived from nature, nostalgia, country music, and the Wild West.

* Howdy! *

I’m Jess, the knitter, crocheter, and all-things-yarn enthusiast behind Lockhart Fiber Co.

Born and raised in Austin, TX, live music and keeping it weird are in my blood. But as my hometown has grown, it’s gotten a bit too big for its britches (or, uh, infrastructure). So, I’ve relocated a few miles south to Lockhart. It’s in this smaller town that I’m pursuing some Texas sized yarn-y dreams, along with my partner Austen, our cat BK, and our rootin'-tootin' (especially the tootin’) little long dog, Bernie.

While yarn didn’t fully become the sheriff of my town until COVID lockdown, fiber crafts have always been a part of my story. I crocheted my first chains at family gatherings, sitting on the floor beside my grandmother as she worked on blankets for each grandchild. Every year, I celebrate Christmas with hand sewn and beaded stockings made by my amazing granny. I understand that to make can be more than just a hobby - it can be an expression of love. That love is what I want to share through Lockhart Fiber Co.
